A commitment to buy a specified quantity of grain at the local cash price, plus a discount to be taken at the time of settlement.
Commit to purchasing grain and leave the pricing of the grain to be professionally managed by Viterra traders.
Purchase grain for future delivery at prices lower than the current futures market price.
Establish a maximum price and participate in any potential market downturn during a defined pricing period.
Protect yourself against rising prices by pricing grain at or between a maximum and minimum price based off of the futures market.
Grain is priced at the settlement prices for a futures month so long as the settlement prices are at or below the pricing level you choose at the start.
